Functional Dynamics was birthed with the intention to aid people in bringing about more vitality and well being into their lives.

Through the three main tenants of Holistic living, Integrative exercise, and sustainable practices, we aim to balance and strengthen the body, enrich the mind, and enliven the spirit. As the totality of a human being is multidimensional in nature, we work to provide nourishment for all areas - the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Through the clarification of ones dreams, goals or objectives, using proper assessment and evaluation, we than can create a form and structure that will bring us closer to creating the vision that we hold for ourselves.

Whatever we wish to engage with in this life, we want to make sure that we have the energy and ability to do so.

We do this by taking personal responsibility for our own health, happiness and life process.

Through actions that are in line with our core values, we set the foundation for our own growth and development.

This is what Functional Dynamics is all about - understanding the rhythms and undulations of our lives and then applying utility in balance. In doing so we can show up, contribute and participate fully in our lives.

HELLO, I’m Frank, founder of Functional Dynamics.

I was born in New York and ever since I can remember, I was always interested in physical exercise and training. I started with athletics and conventional bodybuilding. I eventually transitioned into boxing and kickboxing.

Fighting in an amateur kickboxing bout and beginning to work with clients one on one and in class settings. This was my introduction to my being a trainer.

Over time, that led me to move to California where I began understanding holistic health and comprehending what “being healthy” really meant.

That question, what does it mean to be healthy, led me to the CHEK institute where I decided to pursue certifications that would ultimately allow me to train others.

  • CHEK Institute Integrated Movement Specialist Level 3 and Holistic Lifestyle Coaching Level 2

  • ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer

  • 10+ years experience

    I began training and working at a small boxing and kickboxing gym in Long Island and remained there for several years. Then upon moving out to California I learned how to sell personal training at a local big box gym. From here I was able to gather more skills in the industry.

    I continued my education and I was able to do well at a local boutique gym on the westside of LA. Being a top performer there for a time, I was then able to pivot outside of the gym to bring value and service in the homes of personal clients.

    I was always drawn to living a healthy lifestyle. One that included not only fitness and exercise in the gym, but also fun outside of it. I learned how to balance having fun and being healthy. We call this utility in balance.

Currently, I am taking clients in the west side of LA.

I’m a huge lover of music, traveling and vibin’ out. One who lives to experience the richness of life and enjoy L-I-V-I-N.

I love nature in all her expressions; beach town, mountain town, lake life, deserts, rivers and even cities too. Philosophically orientated, always striving to see life from a grander, wiser vantage point.

I’ve lived in the Caribbean and always felt a soul connection there. Being from an island, (Long Island, New York) it always seemed right to relax and enjoy chillen’ as the locals do. I love playing the guitar, exercising, building rock art, studying zen, qi gong , working towards self improvement and personal development. There is always something that we can work on within ourselves. To the degree and depth that we can go into ourselves and heal, learn or experience fully - we can bring that light out into the world and help others on their journey. Thats what Im all about. Figuring out what we love most in life and creating the level of health, well being and vitality to sustainably pursue it.
